Commissioner Daniel B. Maffei was a featured speaker at the 2025 NYSHEX Member Forum and Index Day where he addressed challenges facing the ocean shipping industry and the necessity of transport and logistics executives prioritizing risk management across all their operations and decisions.
“The Federal Maritime Commission continues to do all it can to mitigate risks for stakeholders across the supply chain, but the people who best understand what and where there are dangers to the status quo are those in industry. Action across the public and private sectors should work together to find solutions to help shippers mitigate risks,” commented Commissioner Maffei following the event.
The event was held at the New York Stock Exchange in Manhattan on April 30, 2025.
